Deleting your account
What happens to your account and your data if you decide to leave. Written to be checkable: exact timings, and the list of what stays as well as what goes.
How to delete your account
- 1Open your profile in the app.
- 2At the bottom of the page, choose “Delete my account”.
- 3Confirm with your password. If you signed up with Google, the confirmation is enough.
Immediately
Your account closes, you are signed out everywhere, and your access is revoked. You stop receiving any email from us, including the weekly digest.
Within 30 days
Your personal data is erased for good. The window exists so a deletion made by mistake can be undone, and so a billing dispute already under way stays readable while it is settled.
What is erased
- — Your name, email, phone and company
- — Your password and every way back in
- — Your Google connection, if you had one
- — Your sectors and regions, chosen or inferred
- — Your newsletter subscription
What is kept
- — Accounting records: what was invoiced, charged or refunded
- — The credit ledger attached to the billing account
These record money that actually moved and fall under accounting obligations. They are attached to the billing account rather than to a person: once your data is erased, they identify nobody.
Coming back later
You can register again with the same address whenever you like. It will be a new account: none of the old one’s credits, seniority or Founding Member status carries over.
